A poem of contemplation for a generous, loving aunt and a stalwart friend:
*God’s Garden**
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace bethine’.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You are gone but not forgotten RIEP 🙏🏽

If roses grew in Heaven, Lord, please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in your Mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her she will be missed, and when she turns to smile, tell her thank you for all she has done; and hold her for a while.
Tell her there is an ache within our heart that will never go away; friends and family will travel far and wide to remember this day.

You are gone but never will be forgotten because you are you,the most amazing generous soul that I have had the chance to meet. You never speak ill of anyone. The world is a poorer place without you.
Rest in eternal peace, Verna.
